behind BatallaCares

Carlo Batalla, a public interest advocate and reform activist and leader for more than three decades, including 20+ years in national leadership positions with a Citizens Anti-Crime and Corruption group. He was elected member of the provincial board of the province of Camarines Sur in 2007 serving up to 2010 and the founding chairman and president of BatallaCares. He led the program and development of BatallaCares from 2017 to present. He oversaw the strategy and planning for the organization and raised significant resources to support BatallaCares nationwide free wheelchairs distribution program. He launched mass distribution in far-flung areas and raised awareness on the needs and abilities of people with physical disabilities. He is also the founding chairman and president of Crimes and Corruption Watch International, Inc. a non-government organization advocating transparency in government procurement process.
